How we make money

FranSelectAI operates as a franchise broker and referral service. The path to compensation works like this:

• You complete the free FranSelectAI assessment.
• Our AI returns a private match report identifying franchise industries and categories that fit your profile.
• If a category interests you, you ask us to introduce you to specific brands in our network within that vertical.
• You and the franchisor enter direct due diligence — FDD review, validation calls, financial review, and ultimately their decision and yours.
• If you sign a franchise agreement with a franchisor we introduced you to, that franchisor pays FranSelectAI a referral fee.

The fee is typically a flat referral fee or a percentage of the initial franchise fee. It is disclosed by each franchisor in Item 22 (and related items) of their Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), which you receive directly from the franchisor before signing.

What candidates pay

Nothing. Ever. There is no charge to use the assessment, receive your match report, or be introduced to franchisors. We will never ask you for money, credit card information, or payment of any kind.

How this affects your matches

Our matching algorithm does not weight or rank franchises based on what they pay us. That variable is not part of the model. Two franchises with identical fit scores receive identical rankings regardless of any difference in referral compensation between their respective franchisors.

We are only paid by franchisors with whom we have an executed referral or broker agreement. As a result, franchises outside our partner network may not appear in your results. Our partner network is curated for quality and breadth across investment tiers — it is not curated based on which franchisors pay the most.

FranSelectAI does not provide legal, accounting, tax, or investment advice. Our match report is a fit-based recommendation; it is not a substitute for the diligence that should precede signing any franchise agreement. Before signing any franchise agreement you should:

• Carefully review the franchisor’s full Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).
• Speak with current and former franchisees of the brand (validators).
• Consult an independent franchise attorney.
• Consult an accountant or financial advisor before committing capital.
• Verify all earnings claims and territory representations directly with the franchisor.

Not an offer to sell a franchise

Nothing on this website, in our assessment, or in any communication from FranSelectAI is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, a franchise. An offer to sell a franchise can be made only by a franchisor, through delivery of that franchisor’s current Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) in compliance with applicable law. Certain states regulate the offer and sale of franchises and require registration before an offer may be made to their residents; nothing here is directed to residents of any state in which the applicable franchise offering has not been registered or exempted.

Information sources and accuracy

Information about franchise brands and categories referenced in our vetting and matching is drawn from publicly filed Franchise Disclosure Documents, franchisor-provided materials, and industry sources. We work to keep our analysis current, but we do not independently audit franchisor data and cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information originating with third parties. We assume no responsibility for the acts, errors, or omissions of any franchisor, or for the outcome of any transaction between you and a franchisor.

Regulation

The offer and sale of franchises is regulated by the Federal Trade Commission (ftc.gov) under the FTC Franchise Rule, and by additional laws in certain states. Before purchasing any franchise, review the franchisor’s FDD in full, and understand the franchise laws applicable in your state.

Important disclaimers

No guarantee of success. Franchise ownership involves substantial risk, including the possible loss of your entire investment. Nothing on this site, in our assessment results, or in any report we send is a promise, prediction, or guarantee that any franchise, category, or business will be successful or profitable for you. Many franchise owners succeed; some do not. Outcomes depend on factors we cannot assess or control, including your market, your execution, economic conditions, and the franchisor’s performance.

No earnings representations. We do not make financial performance representations on behalf of any franchisor. Any discussion of what franchise owners earn must come from Item 19 of the franchisor’s own Franchise Disclosure Document, delivered to you by the franchisor. Do not rely on any other source — including us — for earnings information.

Our match scores and reports are informational fit assessments only. Automated analysis has limits. Portions of our assessment and reporting are generated by artificial intelligence based on the information you provide. AI-generated analysis can contain errors, omissions, or judgments you would weigh differently. Treat every report as a starting point for your own diligence, never a substitute for it.

We are not a party to any franchise agreement you may sign, and we assume no responsibility for the outcome of any franchise relationship. Verify everything independently: the FDD in full, validation calls with current and former franchisees, territory terms in writing, and total investment requirements.
